Before installing QwickACCESS on the HP device be sure to create and configure the desired remote session connection and verify it works. QwickACCESS will then automatically use the configured connection. We recommend that you consult the HP ThinPro Administrator Guide to correctly configure the desired connection using the tools that HP provides on the thin client system. In addition to the settings recommended by HP, QwickACCESS may have additional connection settings requirements depending on the connection type. Please click the link below corresponding to the type of connection you wish to configure to view the additional connection settings needed by QwickACCESS.

Connection Configuration

Before installing QwickACCESS on the HP device be sure to create* and configure the Citrix connection and verify it works (i.e., you can connect to the correct Citrix resource using that connection). QwickACCESS will not solve connection configuration issues so it is important to verify the connection is correct before installing QwickACCESS.

After QwickACCESS is installed it will then automatically use the configured connection; No separate connection configuration is needed. We recommend that you consult the HP ThinPro Administrator Guide to correctly configure the Citrix connection using the tools that HP provides on the thin client system. In addition to the settings recommended by HP, QwickACCESS has additional connection settings requirements. These additional requirements are listed below (please consult the HP ThinPro Administrator Guide to find the location of these settings).

    • "Username", "Password", "Domain" - Don't enter values for these as QwickACCESS will provide these automatically each time a user taps their prox card

    • "Auto Start Desktop" is CHECKED

    • "Auto Start Single Application" is UNCHECKED

    • "Show Applications on Desktop" is UNCHECKED

    • "Show Application on Taskbar" is UNCHECKED

    • "Auto Reconnect Applications on Login" is UNCHECKED

    • "Auto start priority" is set to 0 (ZERO)

    • "Share credentials with screensaver" is CHECKED

    • "Enable Auto Reconnect" is UNCHECKED

    • "Wait for network before connecting" is CHECKED

    • "Show icon on desktop" is UNCHECKED

    • "Auto Logout Delay Before App Launch" is set to -1 (negative ONE)

    • "Auto Logout Delay After App Close" is set to 0 (ZERO)

Note: When the HP OS is in ThinPro mode, it is possible to create more than one connection. In ThinPro mode, if more than one connection is present, QwickACCESS will use the connection at the top of the list in the Connection Manager. If you would like QwickACCESS to use something other than the first listed connection, then give the connection that QwickACCESS should use the name "QwickACCESS Connection." (the case doesn't matter). In other words, QwickACCESS will first look to see if there is a connection named "QwickACCESS Connection" and if there is it will use that connection. If there is no connection named "QwickACCESS Connection," then QwickACCESS will use the first connection that is listed in the Connection Manager.

RDP Connection Settings

The following information is only relevant for Microsoft Terminal Server/Remote Desktop Services (TS/RDS) environments.

Supported TS/RDS Backend Sytems

When correctly configured, QwickACCESS will use the RDP client that is installed on the HP OS to connect to the TS/RDS backend systems. According to the HP ThinPro Administrator Guide, the RDP client is based on FreeRDP 1.1 client which supports RDP 7.1.

Connection Configuration

Before installing QwickACCESS on the HP device be sure to create* and configure the RDP connection and verify it works (i.e., you can connect to the correct TS/RDS resource using that connection). QwickACCESS will not solve connection configuration issues so it is important to verify the connection is correct before installing QwickACCESS.

After QwickACCESS is installed it will then automatically use the configured connection; No separate connection configuration is needed. We recommend that you consult the HP ThinPro Administrator Guide to correctly configure the RDP connection using the tools that HP provides on the thin client system. VMware Horizon View Connection Settings

The following information is only relevant for VMware Horizon View environments.

Supported VMware Horizon View Backend Sytems
