These are the various configuration changes needed in the application in order to use Secure Patient Desktop.

Configuring MyChart URL in Hyperspace

If you want to launch MyChart Signup from within Hyperspace on the Secure Patient Desktop, you must update the URL configured in Hyperspace. The URL needs to be modified to use one of the SPD protocols, http-hci or https-hci. Using http-hci will start MyChart on the SPD using the http protocol and https-hci will start MyChart on the SPD using the https protocol.

Configuration Steps in Hyperspace

  1. From the MyChart System Manager Menu

    1. Select Login and Access Configuration.

  2. On the MyChart Access in Hyperspace Options screen, enter the following:

    1. In the Site ID column, enter a unique ID for this site (for example SIGNUP).

    2. In the Acc Mode column, enter Signup.

    3. In the URL column, enter the address of the web page to open for MyChart signup.

      Note

      This URL must end with accesscheck.asp.

      For example, enter:

      1. http-hci://mycserver/MyChart/accesscheck.asp.

      2. https-hci://mycserver/MyChart/accesscheck.asp.

Configuring a Desktop Link

If you want to launch a web page from a desktop link on the Secure Patient Desktop, you will need to add a link on the windows desktop using one of the SPD protocols, http-hci or https-hci.

Configuration Steps

  1. Create a new shortcut link.

  2. When creating the link, replace http or https with http-hci or https-hci in the URL.

    Note

    Example:

    Change: http://www.google.com

    To: http-hci://www.google.com

  3. The new shortcut link will be opened on the Secure Patient Desktop.
