Troubleshooting

Nothing happens when I tap my badge at the Control-Alt-Delete screen or the QwickACCESS to Windows tile

  • If a badge is tapped, the badge reader beeps and nothing happens QwickACCESS may have "lost" the reader. This can happen when the machine has been unused for a period of time and has gone to sleep. Unplug the badge reader and plug it back in and QwickACCESS will then re-acquire the badge reader.

  • If the reader does not make a sound when a badge is tapped and nothing happens - verify the reader is plugged into the workstation and the light is on. If the reader does not respond (make a sound and/or the light changes color) after unplugging and plugging it back in and tapping a card the reader may be defective, please contact your HealthCast support representative for further assistance.
