Supported Hardware and Software
Note
Following is a list of all supported platforms for ExactAccess Server, note that XA Server may be deployed in a number of different configurations. Please contact your HealthCast Project Manager to determine the optimal configuration(s) for your organization.

Required Minimum Server Specifications
4-Cores (6 or more cores recommended) 2GHz or greater processor.
Note
All ExactAccess server services are multi-threaded and will perform better with additional processor cores. Allocating as many cores as possible will enhance performance for end users.
8 GB RAM is in the system.
Dual 146 GB (or greater) hard drives in a RAID 1 array (or equivalent for virtualization).
All 146 GB should be dedicated for the XA Solution installation and its required components.
Note
The auditSERVER database may require additional space depending on your retention policies. Ensure you have adequate space available for this data.
Each audit transaction stored will take a maximum of 8 kilobytes.
On average, each user will generate about 100 audit transactions per day. For 5,000 users at 100 transactions, the auditSERVER database would grow at about 4 GB per day (5,000 x 100 x 8k= 4,096,000,000). At 4GB per day, 6 months (180 days) of transactions would require about 720 GB (4,096,000,000 x 180 = 24,300,000,000).
This number does not account for database backups.

Warning
When configuring for high availability clusters, only the Enterprise edition supports multiple machines. Ensure that you have the proper version for the desired configuration for redundancy.
